About

Dorian Boswell is a passionate outdoor enthusiast for all things fishing, hunting and exploring BC’s west coast and Kootenay region. I have spent most of my life hunting, fishing, working and exploring the outdoors in Alberta and BC. I have been around firearms all my life in one way or another; as a child and youth on the prairies with my trusted Coey 22, as a firearm enthusiast building custom firearms, working in a gun store, or as the chief firearms instructor in Canada’s largest indoor gun range at the time.

I was also hired and played an instrumental role in helping the government create the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Which included writing the student and instructor’s manuals, as well as training and certifying over 500 master PAL instructors across Canada. I am also a CORE instructor for 37 years, a hunting guide in BC and Alaska, BC PAL/R-PAL instructor and Master Instructor for 30 years, teaching CORE and PAL in B.C.

I have also developed and taught a unique and credited Outdoor Ed program in a secondary school for the last 25 years as a school teacher. In my retirement years, I plan to continue teaching outdoor education and sharing my knowledge and experiences.
